Music Therapy Programs for Senior Living & Memory Care Facilities
Evidence-based. Credentialed. Consistently scheduled. Built around your residents.
If you serve residents with dementia, Parkinson's, or stroke history — music therapy isn't a nice-to-have. It's a clinical tool with documented outcomes, and your residents deserve access to it. Thrive Music Services partners with senior living communities, memory care facilities, and rehabilitation programs across Central Arkansas to provide consistent, professionally delivered music therapy groups and individual sessions. Sessions are scheduled weekly or biweekly on a recurring basis — so your activity calendar stays full, your residents have something to look forward to, and your team isn't scrambling to fill programming slots.

What We Do for Your Residents
For residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease: Music therapy stimulates long-term memory, reduces agitation, lifts mood, and encourages social interaction — even in residents who have become largely nonverbal.
For residents in stroke recovery: Music therapy supports the brain in forming new neural pathways after stroke and can be used alongside speech rehabilitation to accelerate recovery.
For residents with Parkinson's disease: Using Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT®) techniques, rhythm is used to help regulate gait and improve speech clarity. Sarah-Kate currently facilitates a Parkinson's music therapy support group through UAMS.
For bed-bound residents: Mini-sessions bring music therapy directly to individual rooms — meaningful engagement for your most isolated residents, and a practical solution for facilities working to meet state activity stimulation standards.

What Clients Are Saying
"Sarah-Kate’s work at Thrive Music Services was a tremendous gift to my mother and to me. Her work with my mother enriched our lives with her music therapy, compassion, sensitivity, tender care, and keen perception. I am especially grateful that Sarah-Kate took the time to make me aware of even subtle changes in my mother's physical, mental, and psychological condition before medical workers were aware of her changing medical and social needs. I am so happy my mother was able to sing the music she so loved and listen to beautiful singing and playing. I so enjoy remembering my mother singing perfect alto harmony with Sarah-Kate, singing Gershwin and hymns and old fun tunes. It was inspiring. It gave my mother such pleasure in the last months of her life and in the sometimes very difficult challenges she faced in those last months. Thrive Music Services is truly a deeply meaningful treasure, a joy. I highly recommend it as a family member of an elderly person and as a social worker." -RK
"Thrive Music Services is amazing! My mom has dementia and she responds so well to the music. It is truly the highlight of her week. Sarah Kate is incredibly gifted and though my mom can barely talk-she lights up to her favorite songs, taps her feet and has even managed to sing a little. The results of music therapy are truly wonderful-if not miraculous." - CF
"Sarah-Kate appeared just at the right time - her knowledge of the impact of music on dementia is amazing. She is respectful, compassionate and skilled...plus her sense of humor is not to be ignored. She is a very talented music therapist and I am very grateful she came into the life of my spouse!!!!" - MP
